La Vera has been around a long time, and with good reason. It's very child-friendly, quiet (especially upstairs), with inexpensive mellow house wine served in carafes. And on top of all that, the pizza is really good! (there's also a basic Italian restaurant menu.)

Have been to this place several times and the service and food are excellent. They have all types of pizza (of course), but also other great Italian dishes. Great lunch specials too. Had the meatball panin with soup lunch special - one of their soups was a pumpkin/yellow pea - yummy. And their garlic dinner rolls are to die for. Great ambiance in a very old building - two stories. Server was very friendly and always there to refill, etc. Fast lunch service too. Nice patio out front for dining out on a nice day.

Good pizza is hard to find anywhere in California in my opinion. La Vera Pizza is the best pizza in Santa Rosa by far!

Charming little place with loads of atmosphere. Great food! Love the chowder, and the pizza is the closet to what my husband & I had in Italy. Always a good experience. Friendly staff, quick service. Love the artwork!

The La Vera restaurant is a quaint eatery with exceptional lunch time food. We split a chicken panani that was abolutely excellent, accompanied by a very good ceasar salad and pasta salad. An exceptional bargain, with friendly accomodating staff. Strongly recommend the La Vera for a quick lunch time bite!

I went into La Vera Pizza in downtown Santa Rosa for lunch. I had the meatball Panini and a salad. It was so good I went back another night for dinner. I had a great pizza the second night and a Caesar salad. I also tried their rich and creamy dark chocolate Gelato. The food is styled after Southern Italy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish it were closer - I'd go again!!!
